Welcome to the United Kingdom! In this literary course we will be focusing on all things British. Experience Britain not only through the ages, but around the country. You will travel to London, touring the Globe Theatre, up to Stratford-upon-Avon and Cambridge where we see the life and times of Shakespeare and experience his plays the way they were meant to be! We will travel to the south of England, to Bath where the novels of Jane Austen were influenced, and then making a final destination up to Scotland where poetry is at its finest, the Edinburgh Fringe Festival. As we travel through the different eras, we will look at our course through a feminist lens, focusing on gender roles and how men and women have changed over time.
